There are studies which have found that coronavirus can remain in the air for 2-3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours (1 day) and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours (3 days).
But it is important to note that the concentration of the virus decreases exponentially on these surfaces and only traces of the virus is left. So the risk of infection from touching them would be less probable over time.
There are surfaces such as glass, plastics (polypropylene) and other some metals on which the virus can survive as long as nine days.
